McLeod Hospice will celebrate the 38th Annual “A Light for Someone You Love” Tree Lighting Ceremony in Florence on December 7, 2023 at 5:45 p.m. The ceremony will be held at McLeod Regional Medical Center adjacent to the Center for Cancer Treatment and Research.

This year the McLeod Hospice Tree Lighting will feature very special participants. Ronald Fowler will welcome guests on behalf of the McLeod Health Board of Trustees. Will McLeod, Administrator for McLeod Regional Medical Center will emcee the program. Chip Munn with Signature Wealth Strategies will provide the Dedication Ceremony and Chaplain Mack Marsh lead the lighting of the candles.

The family of the late Helen Thomas Owen , will have the honor of lighting the lights which represent all of the families who have been served this year by McLeod Hospice. Pastor Henry Dixon will offer the closing prayer.
This event is free and open to the public, however, it is the annual fundraising event which supports the McLeod Hospice program.  Many of our families use this as a time to “light a light” in memory of someone ($25 donation per light) as a way to provide support for this compassionate care.  Names of those remembered are included in the printed program that evening.  Please be sure to include the name(s) of those you would like to remember as well as name and address of anyone you would like to acknowledge of you gift.  Proceeds raised through the tree lighting’s will directly benefit McLeod Hospice.

“The Light for Someone You Love” program is sponsored by the McLeod Health Foundation to directly benefit McLeod Hospice.  Gifts represent the light of hope to McLeod Hospice patients and their families.

McLeod Hospice serves patients in Chesterfield, Clarendon, Darlington, Dillon, Florence, Horry, Lee, Marion, Marlboro, Sumter and Williamsburg counties.
