  • Hyberbaric Oxygen Therapy

Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a simple but effective treatment in which the patient breathes 100% pure oxygen while inside a pressurized chamber. The increased oxygen and pressure administer 10 to 20 times more oxygen directly into the body’s tissues, helping increase the body’s own natural wound-healing abilities. HBOT also helps fight certain types of infections, improves circulation, and stimulates the growth of new blood vessels.

McLeod dedicated Respiratory Therapists have specialized training and meticulously follow rigorous safety standards for the well-being of the patients we serve. Our HBOT team takes pride in making sure patients are treated with dignity and respect. Patient comfort and satisfaction are also extremely important to us.

    Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy treats:

    • Diabetic Foot Ulcers
    • Non-healing Wounds
    • Osteomyelitis (inflammation or swelling in the bone)
    • Soft Tissue Radionecrosis
    • Osteoradionecrosis
    • Preparation or Preservation of Skin Grafts
    • Necrotizing Infections

This advanced treatment option in the healing of wounds, body tissues, infections, and more is available at McLeod Regional Medical Center in Florence. A referral from a primary care provider is required for HBOT.
