    McLeod Health Clarendon, formerly Clarendon Memorial Hospital, was founded in 1951 as the Clarendon Hospital District located in Manning, South Carolina, the county seat of Clarendon County. Clarendon County is a wonderful community and we’re pleased to serve our community with the highest level of healthcare.

    In 2013, Clarendon Health System completed a $22 million expansion and renovation project that included a 47,000-square-foot addition encompassing new operating rooms, emergency department, same day surgery department, and spacious patient rooms. Additionally, the hospital’s cafeteria, patient admissions, waiting rooms, and common areas were renovated to create a more welcoming and functional environment for patients, visitors and staff.

    In July 2016, McLeod Health in Florence, SC, officially started operating Clarendon Health System in an effort to maintain health services and provide more depth of service to Clarendon County residents. McLeod Health Clarendon is an acute care hospital.

Better because we have new specialists in Cardiology, Nephrology and other specialty areas, offer hospice care, and improved patient flow. Faster emergency care because of substantial changes to our intake and assessment process resulting in significantly shorter wait times for our patients.
