    Patients with acute or chronic sports-related conditions receive diagnosis and a rehabilitation plan at our outpatient Sports Medicine facility at 2439 Willwood Drive in Florence, SC.   • Saturday Injury Clinic Offers Free Evaluation for Fall Sports Participants

    From August to November, on Saturdays (8:30-10 a.m.) McLeod Orthopedic Specialists, Certified Athletic Trainers and Family Medicine Residents evaluate injuries, take X-rays, apply splints/braces and refer athletes for further treatment, if needed.   • Certified Athletic Trainers Ensure Safe Athletic Environment

    Certified Athletic Trainers develop expertise in orthopedic and musculoskeletal disciplines for injury prevention, assessment, treatment and rehabilitation. The athletic trainer cares for the athletes, working to prevent injuries. Certified Athletic Trainers also receive training in nutrition, biomechanics, education, counseling, physiology, psychology and conditioning. Our Athletic Trainers provide outreach services to high schools and colleges in the area.
