Forensic Nurse Examiner Services

The McLeod Forensic Nurse Examiner Team provides specially trained, compassionate and understanding forensic nurses 7 days a week, 24 hours per day, for those who require medical care
or need to have physical evidence collected after experiencing an act of violence.

Forensic services are available at the McLeod Regional Medical Center Emergency Department in Florence and at select times at the Carolina Forest Emergency Department in Myrtle Beach. Additionally, TeleSANE services are offered at designated McLeod facilities throughout the region.

These acts of violence can happen to anyone, regardless of age or gender. Our forensic nurse examiners treat the following:

• Sexual assault
• Domestic or Intimate Partner Violence (DV/IPV)
• Child sexual abuse
• Exploitation/sex trafficking
• Non-IPV battery/violence
• Non-lethal strangulation
• Stalking
• Technology facilitated sexual abuse (sextortion)

One you are medically cleared, they will explain your rights and treatment options, and answer any questions you have. Your forensic nurse will ask questions and collect evidence.

  • Medical Forensic Exam Costs
