Your Role: What You Need to Know and Do

Know the Details of Your Plan
It is your responsibility to understand your insurance plan benefits and network, including in-network providers, co-payments, deductibles, referral guidelines and what services are covered.

Pay Non-Covered Charges
You are responsible for paying all charges not covered by insurance, including deductibles, co-pays, per-stay co-pays, and other non-covered charges.

Pay Unpaid Charges
You may be required to pay for any unpaid health care items or services that your insurance plan determines are not covered or not medically necessary.

Questions?
Please contact your insurance company with any questions regarding your coverage.

Filing a Claim
We will submit claims for your care to your insurance provider once we receive complete billing information and benefits are made payable to McLeod Health.

McLeod Health will contact you only if there is an outstanding balance on your account or if we need your help obtaining payment from the insurance company.
