The inpatient oncology staff at McLeod Regional Medical Center received a special visit on December 14 from Tyler Raynor, a 16-year-old student at Wilson High School.

The staff cared for Tyler between late August and early November and even celebrated his birthday with him on September 13th. Tyler and his family returned to the hospital to thank the staff for all they did for him during his cancer treatment.

On Tyler’s behalf, Wilson High School Football Coach Derek Howard and football players Curtis Simmons, D.J. Fullard and Brandon Waters also brought lunch to the staff.

The staff extends a special thank you to Monique Henegan, Tyler’s homebound teacher from Wilson, for coordinating this visit.
