(1/18/11) – The American Heart Association recognized Beverly Sandifer, RN, Supervisor of Cardiac Rehab at McLeod Medical Center Dillon, as the 2010 Volunteer of the Year for the Pee Dee Heart Walk.

The award was presented at the 2010 Pee Dee Heart Walk Awards Ceremony held on December 9, 2010. Beverly was also in the top ten of individual fundraisers for the event. In 2008, Sandifer was awarded with the American Heart Association Lifestyle Change Award, an honor that recognizes people who have made changes that impacted their quality of life and improved their health.

Also during the December ceremony, McLeod Medical Center Dillon was presented with the King of Hearts Award for Dillon County, which recognizes the medical center as the top fundraising company in Dillon County for raising more than $4,700.
