Ribbon Cutting and Open House Held for McLeod Health Carolina Forest Emergency Department

McLEOD HEALTH CAROLINA FOREST 18 OCTOBER 2019

McLeod Health is pleased to announce the opening of the new McLeod Health Carolina Forest Emergency Department on October 22, 2019. The new 13,000 square-foot Emergency Department offers streamlined services, including new exam rooms and state-of-the-art trauma facilities, and is the only Emergency Department in Carolina Forest.

The new Emergency Department is designed with 15 spacious exam rooms featuring advanced diagnostic equipment. This includes a trauma room, triage room, and other specialized areas. Radiology, including CT and Lab services are housed within the Emergency Department to expedite a diagnosis. The open floor plan creates a comfortable environment for patients and their families, and supports efficiency to aid in patient flow.

The new waiting area is divided into two separate sections, offering a warm and intimate environment for visitors. There is also a private family consult room for providers to meet with family members. Adjacent parking for Emergency Department visitors and patients offers convenience and ease of entry.

The McLeod Health Carolina Forest Emergency Department is one more step in our promise to offer quality medical care to our community.”

The McLeod Health Carolina Forest Campus is home to a wide variety of physician practices and outpatient services and conveniently located in the heart of Myrtle Beach and Horry County. Situated on 42-acres, this ambulatory care development is master planned for a total of 7 office buildings.

At the entrance of the campus is Building 1 which includes McLeod Family Medicine Carolina Forest and Atlantic Urology Clinics. Building 2 includes offices for McLeod Cardiology Associates, McLeod Vascular Associates, McLeod Loris Seacoast Surgery, and McLeod Neurology Carolina Forest. In addition, a new outpatient rehabilitation department provides physical, speech, pediatric and occupational therapy services. Outpatient imaging services are scheduled to open in Winter 2019.
