McLeod Regional Medical Center Pleased to Announce New Emergency Department Director

McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 5 JULY 2011

(7/05/11) – McLeod Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce Mindi Owens Bowers, RN, MSN, MHA, CEN as the new Director of the McLeod Regional Medical Center Emergency Department.
Mindi began her nursing career at McLeod Regional Medical Center as a Medical-Surgical Technician. After graduating from Florence-Darlington Technical College, she continued her work at McLeod caring for patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit, and later working with Emergency Services.

Mindi completed her Master of Science in Nursing degree and her Master of Health Administration degree with the University of Phoenix. Most recently, Mindi served as the Director of a North Charleston area hospital.

Mindi is excited to be back at McLeod, saying "I returned McLeod because it is "home". McLeod is the hospital I want to be able to send my family to if they need healthcare services." She added her primary focus will be to work on efficiency in the McLeod Emergency Department.

Mindi is the President-Elect for the South Carolina Emergency Nurses Association and also serves as a member of the national Emergency Nurses Association Psychiatric Care Committee. She is married and has two children, an 11 year-old daughter and an 8 year-old son.
