GE Healthcare recently hosted members of the McLeod Health Radiology team on a tour of the MRI Plant in Florence. At the conclusion of the tour, the team signed the newest 3T MRI magnet which will be installed at McLeod Regional Medical Center’s Medical Plaza. The 3T MRI will be fully operational in September.

McLeod currently has two 3T MRI machines in operation which offer specialized features such as advanced cardiac studies, high-resolution prostate studies, and enhanced orthopedic imaging. These machines are located in the McLeod Pavilion and McLeod Medical Park Five.

In addition to superior imaging, these MRI machines are designed with patient comfort in mind and even allows patients to go in feet-first when appropriate.
