McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 8 MAY 2013

"ACRseal"The McLeod Radiation Oncology Department has earned accreditation from the American College of Radiology (ACR) for their dedication to quality and safety. Achieving the ACR accreditation demonstrates that the radiation team provides the highest level of image quality and radiation safety to its patients. McLeod is one of only seven ACR accredited Radiation Oncology centers in South Carolina, and one of only 455 in the United States out of 3,200 radiation centers.

"This is an impressive accomplishment that requires the work of an entire team," said Judy Bibbo, Vice President of Patient Services. "We are very proud of the McLeod Radiation Oncology Department’s dedication to ensuring the safe and effective treatment of our patients."

The ACR is the nation’s oldest and most widely accepted radiation oncology accrediting body serving more than 36,000 diagnostic/interventional radiologists, radiation oncologists, nuclear medicine physicians, and medical physicists with programs focusing on the practice of medical imaging and radiation oncology and the delivery of comprehensive health care services.
