Being a parent can be stressful at times. Parents need answers to their concerns and often advice. To help families, McLeod Loris Seacoast is offering a pediatric series at the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic and Fitness Center. Each seminar will offer a question and answer session with a pediatric specialist.
Dr. Jose Hernandez with McLeod Family Medicine Seacoast, and Deanna Fisher, Lead Clinical Dietician at McLeod Loris Seacoast, recently facilitated the first segment in the series. They discussed different methods and techniques parents can use when combating feeding issues and “picky eaters.” They offered suggestions for nutritious food options for children that may be affected by textual sensitivity, physical/behavioral components, or simply have a preference for or dislike of certain foods.
The next class in the series will address “The Child Forgotten.” This seminar will be held at the North Myrtle Beach Aquatic & Fitness Center on Thursday, May 23, at 6:30 p.m.
