On May 15, McLeod Regional Medical Center hosted the Spring 2026 Health Careers Symposium, recognizing 18 high school students from Florence 1 Schools (F1S) who are taking their first steps toward careers in healthcare.
Deon Evans, Health Careers Coordinator, shared: “It has been an honor to watch these students grow both personally and professionally. I’m excited to see what their futures hold.”
The Health Careers Course is an honors level program designed for students interested in pursuing a career in the medical field where they receive mentorship, train in simulated clinical situations and conduct research on current healthcare trends.
Thank you to our McLeod Health professionals who generously shared their time and expertise to guide these future leaders.
