McLeod Regional Medical Center recently hosted leaders from the South Carolina Hospital Association (SCHA) and Vituity as part of the EmPATH (Emergency Psychiatry Assessment, Treatment and Healing) Learning Collaborative.

McLeod is one of 13 South Carolina Hospitals who have received grant funding from the South Carolina Department of Health & Human Services to build a specialized unit dedicated to behavioral health crises. During the learning collaborative, Vituity team members Dr. Scott Zeller, creator of the EmPATH model, and Kimberly Lopez discussed with hospital leaders the vision for the McLeod EmPATH unit.
