McLeod Health welcomes Viji Nehru, MD, and George H. Salama, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Nehru joins Dr. Rajesh Bajaj, Dr. Michael Pavy, Dr. Sreenivas Rao, Dr. James Smith, Dr. Karim Tazi and Dr. Ravneet Bajwa serving patients at McLeod Oncology and Hematology Associates, a division of McLeod Regional Medical Center. A native of Sri Lanka, Dr. Nehru comes to McLeod following the completion of her Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Nehru provides care for the full spectrum of cancer diagnoses using chemotherapy, targeted and biological therapy. Dr. Salama, a urologist serves patients at McLeod Urology Associates with fellow physicians Dr. Gwen Choi, Dr. Ronald Glinski and Dr. Kelly Maloney. Board Eligible in Urology, Dr. Salama comes to McLeod following the completion of his urology residency training at Rutgers New Jersey Medical School in Newark, New Jersey. A native of Egypt, Dr. Salama moved to the United States at the age of five with his parents who are also physicians. The family commitment to providing care for others continues with Dr. Salama’s calling as specialist surgical physician.
