McLeod Health welcomes Dr. Edwin L. Gandy and Dr. Kamel Massarweh to the medical staff.

Dr. Gandy will provide care as part of McLeod Occupational Health Sumter located at McLeod Medical Plaza Sumter, 540 Physicians Lane, Sumter, SC, 29150.  Dr. Gandy received his medical degree from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in Columbia, SC, in 1992. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency in 1995 at Summa Healthcare System of Akron, Ohio. Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Gandy comes to McLeod from Lake City Community Hospital where he served as Medical Director of the Emergency Department. Joining McLeod, he continues his more than 25 years of service to the residents of our region. Dr. Gandy has three adult children. Dr. Massarweh joins the Department of Inpatient Medicine at McLeod Regional Medical Center as a Hospitalist. Dr. Massarweh comes to McLeod from Cameron Memorial Community Hospital in Angola, Indiana, where he served as a Hospitalist. He received his medical degree in 2011 from Jordan University of Science and Technology, Faculty of Medicine in Irdin, Jordan, and completed his Internal Medicine Residency at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center of Paterson, NJ, in 2017. A native of Jordan, Dr. Massarweh enjoys the challenges and broad scope of acute care that inpatient and hospitalist medicine provide.
