McLeod Health welcomes Brittany M. Benjamin, MD, and Edward M. Kowal, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Benjamin is a member of the medical staff of McLeod Regional Medical Center and McLeod Physician Associates as part of McLeod Pediatric Associates of Florence. She joins fellow pediatricians Dr. Michael Collins, Dr. Ben Elder, Dr. Karen Hill, Dr. Meghan Jordan, Dr. Patrice Minter, Br. Brian Naylor, Dr. Tim Spence, Dr. Tom Spence, and Dr. Weave Whitehead, in serving patients at the 204 East Cheves Street location. Board Certified in Pediatrics, Dr. Benjamin comes to McLeod following the completion of pediatric residency training at Akron Children’s Hospital in Akron, Ohio. She received her medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2017. Dr. Kowal is a member of the medical staff of McLeod Regional Medical Center and McLeod Physician Associates. He joins fellow physicians Dr. John Browning, Dr. Brad Campbell, Dr. Eric Coughlin, Dr. Gary Emerson, Dr. Candice Greenan, Dr. Patricia Litts, and Dr. Jenna MacLennan in serving patients at McLeod OBGYN Associates. Dr. Kowal comes to McLeod from Summa Health Medical Group in Akron, Ohio. He received his medical degree from the West Virginia University School of Medicine in 2014 and completed his residency training in obstetrics and gynecology at Charleston Area Medical Center, Charleston, West Virginia in 2018. A native of West Virginia, Dr. Kowal enjoys golf and triathlons, as well as traveling and outdoors with his wife, new McLeod Pediatrician Dr. Brittany Benjamin.
