McLeod Health Welcomes These New Physicians


McLeod Health welcomes Christine Mills, MD, and Michael Sein, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Mills is part of the excellent team of cardiologists at McLeod Cardiology Associates. Prior to joining McLeod Health, Dr. Mills was the Director of the Structural Heart Program as a Structural and Interventional Cardiologist at Aiken Regional Medical Center in Aiken, South Carolina. Dr. Mills diagnoses and treats a broad range of heart disease. In her role as a Structural and Interventional Cardiologist, she specializes in cardiac catheterization procedures. Dr. Mills completed her Structural/Congenital Heart Disease Fellowship at the esteemed Hackensack University Medical Center in Hackensack, New Jersey. She completed her Interventional Cardiology Fellowship and Cardiovascular Disease Fellowships at the University of Vermont Medical Center in Burlington, Vermont. Dr. Mills and her colleagues manage patients with blockages in the coronary arteries which supply blood to the heart muscle. This includes emergency procedures for acute heart attacks, as well as elective procedures for patients with suspected coronary artery disease. She accomplishes this using small tubes through the blood vessels without the need for open heart surgery. An Interventional Pain Management Specialist, Dr. Sein joins Dr. Andrew Rhea, Dr. William Naso, Dr. Tripp Hines, Dr. Catherine Tannahill, Dr. Chadley Runyan, and Dr. Michael Warden serving patients at Florence Neurosurgery and Spine at McLeod Health. Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Sein received his medical degree from the University of Maryland in 2009, followed by a residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard Medical School in 2013 and a Fellowship in Pain Medicine at the University of California in 2014. As a specialist in pain and spine, he diagnoses and provides treatment for chronic back, neck, joint and nerve pain. Dr. Sein uses a diverse approach to care, combining conservative options, interventional procedures, and therapies including radiofrequency ablations and spinal cord stimulation.
