McLeod Health welcomes Monica Ploetzke, MD, and Christopher C. Keen, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Ploetzke provides obstetric and gynecological care at McLeod Health Clarendon. She joins fellow physician Dr. Steve Tollison and certified nurse midwives Tom Chappell and Judy Fry serving patients at McLeod Women’s Care Clarendon.

Dr. Ploetzke comes to McLeod following the completion of her residency training at Palmetto Health Richland in Columbia. Dr. Ploetzke earned her doctor of medicine from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 2014.

“I enjoy creating relationships with patients and the combination of surgery and direct patient care that obstetrics and gynecology provide,” said Dr. Ploetzke. A native of North Augusta, Dr. Ploetzke is recently married and enjoys sports and spending time outdoors.

McLeod Regional Medical Center is pleased to announce the addition of new pulmonary and intensivist physician Dr. Keen to McLeod Inpatient Medicine. Dr. Keen joins Dr. Hamed Ali, Dr. Scott Dryzer, Dr. Marwan K. Elya, Dr. Ifeanyichukwu M. Eruchalu, Dr. William Hazelwood, and Dr. James Yarnal as part of the McLeod Critical Care Specialists team.

Dr. Keen comes to McLeod following his fellowship training in pulmonary and critical care at Albany Medical Center, in Albany, New York. He earned his medical degree in 2012 from the American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine Saint Maarten, Netherland Antilles and completed his Internal Medicine Residency in 2015 at the University of Nevada at Reno.

Dr. Keen is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Pulmonary Disease and a member of the American College of Chest Physicians, American Thoracic Society, Society for Critical Care Medicine, American College of Physicians, and the American Medical Association.
