McLeod Health welcomes new physicians Dr. Alkesh Gajjar and Dr. Arpit Khandelwal to the medical staff.

Board Certified Psychiatrist Alkesh Gajjar, MD, joins McLeod Psychiatric Associates. He will serve psychiatric and mental health inpatients at McLeod Behavioral Health Services in Darlington and McLeod Regional Medical Center. He received his medical degree (MBBS) from Shah Medical College, Jamnagar, India in 2005, and completed residency training in general psychiatry at East Tennessee State University, Johnson City, Tennessee in 2014.

Arpit Khandelwal, MD, joins the hospitalists team of McLeod Regional Medical Center. Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Khandelwal received his medical degree (MBBS) from Government Medical College, Aurangabad, Maharashtra of Nasik, Maharashtra, India in 2010. He completed his Internal Medicine residency training at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center McKeesport Hospital of McKeesport, Pennsylvania in 2017, and Fellowship training in Nephrology at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, Alabama in 2019.
