McLeod Health welcomes Ravneet Bajwa, MD, and John L. Pate, MD, to medical offices in Florence.

Dr. Bajwa joins Dr. Rajesh Bajaj, Dr. Michael Pavy, Dr, Sreenivas Rao, Dr. Jamie Smith, and Dr. Karim Tazi serving patients at McLeod Oncology and Hematology Associates, a division of McLeod Regional Medical Center.

Dr. Bajwa comes to McLeod following the completion of her Fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at the University of Florida Department of Medicine. She received her medical degree in 2010 from Kasturba Medical College, Mangalore of Manipal University in India, and completed her Internal Medicine Residency in 2014 at the University of Florida Department of Medicine in Gainesville, Florida.

As a medical oncologist and hematologist, Dr. Bajwa provides care for the full spectrum of cancer diagnoses using chemotherapy, targeted and biological therapy. Areas of special interest include breast cancer, lymphoma, gastrointestinal cancer and benign hematology.

“I enjoy the special connection I get to make with my patients and their families as an oncologist,” said Dr. Bajwa. “Our patients inspire us to do our best for them, and I cherish the privilege of making an impact in their lives.” A native of India, Dr. Bajwa and her husband, McLeod Gastroenterologist Dr. Davinderbir Pannu, are parents of a three-year-old daughter, Seher.

Dr. John L. Pate, family medicine physician, joins Dr. Richard Mohr at McLeod Family Medicine Health and Fitness. Dr. Pate is no stranger to McLeod, having served patients at Pate Medical Associates in Bishopville for more than 30 years.

Board certified in Family Medicine, Dr. Pate is a seasoned physician with many years of experience diagnosing and treating illnesses and chronic health conditions in patients of all ages. Common conditions treated and services offered include Arthritis, Autoimmune Diseases, Cholesterol Management, Diabetes, Geriatrics, Gout, Family Care, High Blood Pressure (Hypertension), Heart Disease, Medicare Wellness Visits, Osteoporosis, Pulmonary Disease, as well as well visits and physicals.
