McLeod Health Welcomes These New Physicians

McLeod Health welcomes Dr. Louise Sutton Boyd, OBGYN, and Dr. Jeffrey J. Dorociak, Gastroenterologist, to McLeod Physician Associates.

Dr. Boyd will be providing obstetric and gynecological care at McLeod Health Cheraw, as well as seeing patients at both McLeod OBGYN Cheraw and McLeod OBGYN Bennettsville. She joins fellow physicians Dr. David Bersinger and Dr. Michael Hoffman in serving the patients of Chesterfield, Marlboro, and surrounding counties.

A native of Sumter, South Carolina, Dr. Boyd brings a varied background to her career in medicine. Prior to her medical training, she pursued a degree in the performing arts, and also served Mercy Ships in medical missions to Liberia. Her desire for serving others led to choosing a career in medicine, and ultimately to her choice of women’s health. She received her Doctor of Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston in 2012. In 2016, Dr. Boyd completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Medical College of Georgia, Augusta University Residency Program.

“I have a passion for women’s health,” said Dr. Boyd. “Being able to make a difference in the lives of women of all ages is a privilege and responsibility. I look forward to being a part of McLeod, the Cheraw and Bennettsville communities, and creating positive relationships with the women who entrust me with their care.”

Dr. Boyd welcomes new patients in both Bennettsville and Cheraw. To schedule an appointment, please call (843) 454-4066.
