McLeod Health welcomes new physicians Dr. Jonessa Atienza and Dr. Joseph Villanueva to McLeod Loris Seacoast.
Dr. Atienza is a Board Certified Internal Medicine physician, specializing in the treatment of a broad spectrum of adult health care needs, ranging from primary care to more complicated medical needs including heart disease, diabetes, lung disease, kidney disease, and multi-system diseases.
Dr. Atienza received her medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Manila Philippines in 2008 and completed a residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut, in Farmington, Connecticut in 2014. She comes to McLeod from private practice in Sumter, South Carolina.

Board certified in Internal Medicine, Dr. Villanueva received his medical degree from the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Medicine and Surgery, Manila Philippines in 2008. He completed an internship at Philippine General Hospital in Manila in 2009, and his residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Connecticut, in Farmington, Connecticut in 2014.
Dr. Villanueva joins McLeod from Carolina Convenient Care and Palmetto Health Tuomey Hospital in Sumter, South Carolina, where he has practiced for the last three years. He joins the McLeod Loris Seacoast Hospitalists.
