McLeod Health Welcomes These New Physicians

McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 30 JUNE 2017

McLeod Health welcomes new physicians Dr. Eric C. Coughlin and Dr. J. Kevin O’Kelly.

Dr. Coughlin provides obstetric and gynecological care at McLeod Regional Medical Center. He joins Dr. Paul Chandler, Dr. Lynn Clary, Dr. Michael Davidson, Dr. Patricia Litts, Dr. Dale Lusk, and Dr. Kelly Rainwater in the practice of McLeod Women’s Care.

Dr. Coughlin comes to McLeod from West Virginia following the completion of his residency training at the Charleston Area Medical Center of West Virginia University where he was Chief Resident. Dr. Coughlin earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of West Virginia School of Medicine in 2012.

Dr. Coughlin enjoys creating relationships with patients, and the combination of surgery and direct patient care that obstetrics and gynecology provide. “There is no greater experience than delivering babies,” said Dr. Coughlin. “It is an honor and privilege to share that moment with mothers, and to guide and accompany them in their journey to bringing new life into the world.”

Dr. Coughlin and his wife, Brittany, are new parents of a six-week-old daughter, Amelia. The Coughlins look forward to becoming part of Florence and the McLeod team, and raising their family in a welcoming and friendly environment of just the right size.

Since 1996, Dr. O’Kelly has provided care for the full spectrum of urologic concerns at Low County Urology. He specializes in surgical treatment of cancer of the prostate and bladder.

Dr. O’Kelly received his Doctor of Medicine degree from St. Georges School of Medicine in 1986. He completed a General Surgery residency in 1988 at the State University of New York, and his Urology residency in 1993 at The University of South Florida where he served as Chief Resident.
