McLeod Health and McLeod Physician Associates welcome new physicians Dr. Lewis Dickinson and Dr. Darron Molter.

Lewis G. Dickinson, MD, FACS, is a board certified general surgeon who comes to McLeod from Grand Strand Surgical Specialists in Myrtle Beach, and has been practicing medicine in Horry County for more than 16 years. Dr. Dickinson is a 1995 graduate of the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, and completed his General Surgery Residency at the Albert Einstein Medical Center of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 2001.

Dr. Dickinson joins fellow surgeons Dr. Kenneth Mincey, Dr. Amanda Turbeville, and Dr. Eric Young caring for patients at McLeod Loris Seacoast Surgery. These physicians offer general surgery care including diagnosis and treatment of abdominal and intestinal issues in the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder and bile ducts. Darron J. Molter, MD, joins McLeod with more than 25 years of experience serving patients of all ages. As a board certified family medicine physician, Dr. Molter treats a wide range of conditions including hypertension, diabetes, COPD and cholesterol. He has served as the President of the Horry County Medical Society, Vice President of the South Carolina Academy of Family Practice, and is a past recipient of the “Best of the Beach” by readers of The Sun News.

Dr. Molter is a 1987 graduate of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark, New Jersey, and completed his Family Medicine Residency at Robert Wood Johnson Family Practice Residency at St. Peter’s Medical Center of New Brunswick, New Jersey, in 1990. Dr. Molter and his wife, Debbie, live in Myrtle Beach and have two children.
