Dr. Morris Washington, with McLeod Digestive Health Center Seacoast, performed the first Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography ERCP) procedure on July 29 at McLeod Health Seacoast. Previously, ERCP has only been performed at McLeod Regional Medical Center, so this is a positive expansion of care McLeod Health is able to extend to the communities we serve.

ERCP is a procedure to diagnose and treat problems in the liver, gallbladder, bile ducts, and pancreas. The procedure combines X-ray and an endoscope.
