McLeod Health Loris and McLeod Health Seacoast are pleased to announce the most recent Merit Award recipients: Michael Sperr, McLeod Health Loris Electrician in Facilities Management, and Patience Gilley, Manager in McLeod Health Seacoast Nutrition Services.

Sperr was nominated by hospital administration at McLeod Health Loris. They stated, “Mike is a very caring person,” who has “a positive attitude” with everyone he meets at the hospital. They also mentioned how diligently Mike works, as well as the quality of his work.

Gilley’s impact is felt across our hospital, according to her nominators. It was also said that Patience “consistently demonstrates a genuine willingness to help others, always stepping in when support is needed,” and that she sets up her team for success.

The Merit Award recognizes McLeod Health employees, volunteers, and physicians who consistently exemplify Service Excellence standards and who also demonstrate and promote the McLeod Health mission, vision, and values. Recipients are nominated by their co-workers and chosen by members of the McLeod Health Merit Award Committee.
