The Junior Volunteers at McLeod Health Clarendon being recognized for serving nearly 2,176 hours during the summer of 2019

This group of Junior Volunteers at McLeod Health Clarendon were recognized for serving nearly 2,176 hours this Summer.

This summer, 191 teenagers ranging in age from 13 to 17 participated in the McLeod Junior Volunteer Program in McLeod Health hospitals across the region.

These teen volunteers donated 10,579 hours serving staff members, patients and visitors at McLeod Health Cheraw, McLeod Health Clarendon, McLeod Health Dillon, McLeod Health Loris Seacoast, McLeod Regional Medical Center, McLeod Hospice, the McLeod Child Development Center and the McLeod Activity Center for Kids.

Coordinated by McLeod Volunteer Services, the McLeod Junior Volunteer Program runs from June to August and allows teens to serve in numerous capacities throughout the hospital. The program also provides teenagers the opportunity to determine if healthcare is a career they want to pursue after high school.
