Celebrating 70 Years in the heart of the community and 5 Years in the trusted hands of McLeod, McLeod Health Clarendon hosted an anniversary celebration on Thursday, June 17.
During the event, remarks were made by McLeod Health leaders and Kimberly O. Johnson S.C. House of Representative and Vice Chair of the McLeod Health Clarendon Advisory Board.
Following the remarks, attendees had the opportunity to tour the hospital and learn more about the hospital’s quality programs and services, achievements, and history, including:
3D Mammography located in The Radiology Department. 3D Mammography™, now offered at McLeod Health Clarendon, is the most accurate mammogram available. The Genius™ 3D Mammography™ exam is revolutionizing how breast cancer is detected by providing a better option for women of all breast densities compared to 2D alone. Breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among women in South Carolina regardless of race.
32 Slice CT Scanner located in the Radiology Department CT scanners provide essential diagnostic images of structures inside a person’s body. A new CT scanner provide faster scans that produce high-quality images, allowing medical staff to quickly determine health status and course of treatment while giving patients access to up-to-date health-care technology close to home.
Additional testing performed using CT Scanner:
Quality & Achievements located on the second floor in the Women’s Services waiting room. McLeod Health Clarendon continues to be recognized for providing excellence in healthcare and patient satisfaction.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located on the third floor. The ICU expansion includes increased square footage to allow for more spacious patient rooms and a designated exam room. There will also be a private family consult room for providers to meet with family members as well as a family waiting room.
ICU patient volumes have rapidly grown over the past few years. Not only does this expansion and renovation underscore the continued investment and commitment to bring quality healthcare to Clarendon and all communities from the midlands to the coast, but it also allows patients and their families to heal and recover close to home.
