On Monday, October 6, McLeod Health Cheraw had the honor of awarding its first ever DAISY Award to Chris Spivey.

Chris has been a nurse for a total of 31 years with 26 of those being at Cheraw, beginning at Chesterfield General which then became McLeod. As a highly skilled and always humble Emergency Department Nurse and now PCS of the ER and ICU, Chris is admired and respected by not only his nursing colleagues but by the hospital and community as a whole.

Highlights from Chris’s nomination for the DAISY award include: “This nurse has consistently, for more than two decades in the Emergency department, proven to be excellent.”
