McLeod Educates Women on Heart Disease

McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 15 FEBRUARY 2019

February is known nationwide as Heart Month. At McLeod Health, this year’s promotions are focused on educating women on heart disease, the risk factors, and recognizing the signs of a heart attack. These efforts are being communicated through the use of print ads, television advertising, physician articles, patient testimonials and educational community events.

The heart and stroke patient testimonials feature five McLeod female patients. These are stories of real patients who have experienced victorious outcomes including Loris resident Suné Watts – Heart Disease Survivor.

“I experienced pain in my shoulders, neck and both arms that would wake me up at night,” said Suné. “The pain went away after a few minutes. I thought it was just anxiety, or even possibly acid reflux.” Click here to watch Suné’s story.
