McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 29 JULY 2019

Kate Miccichi, Director of Patient Relations at McLeod Regional Medical Center, was honored with the Patriot Award on July 24 during the Department Director’s meeting. The Patriot Award is the first in a series of awards given by the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve organization.

Miccichi was nominated for this honor by McLeod Patient Representative Tyler Allen, a member of the National Guard Reserves. An employee serving in the National Guard or Reserve may nominate individual supervisors or bosses for support provided directly to the nominating Service member and his family. The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.

The Patriot Award was presented to Kate by Edward Holmes and John Nichols, representatives with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve.
