McLeod Dillon Hosts Its First Community Partners Luncheon

McLEOD HEALTH DILLON 15 SEPTEMBER 2017

Joan Ervin, Administrator of McLeod Dillon, welcomes attendees to the medical center’s first Community Partners Luncheon on September 13.

McLeod Dillon held its first Community Partners Luncheon on Wednesday, September 13. Offered in conjunction with the McLeod Foundation, the Community Partners program allows community leaders to join McLeod administrators and physicians to get a behind-the-scenes look at health care at McLeod.

Seventeen community members attended the program which featured a presentation about McLeod Telehealth. After a demonstration by McLeod Telehealth Analyst Christine Moseley, the group viewed an ETV documentary filmed at McLeod Dillon on the importance of Telehealth, specifically tele-psychiatry in rural hospitals. The luncheon concluded with a tour of the Emergency Department’s Holding Area, where the attendees were able to see the rooms and equipment used in tele-psychiatry consultations.
