McLeod Dillon Fitness Challenge 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run

McLEOD DILLION 4 MAY 2016

Nearly 100 participants filled the streets of Dillon, SC, participating in the McLeod Dillon Fitness Challenge 5K Run/Walk and 1-Mile Fun Run in recognition of the McLeod Health 110 year celebration on Saturday, April 30, 2016. The races took place at the City of Dillon Wellness Center.

The top overall winners in the male division: 1st place – Frankie Humphrey, 2nd place – Heath Fore, and 3rd place – Robbie McLendon. The top overall winners in the female division: 1st place – Mariah Meredith and Elizabeth Whitley, 2nd place – Lisa Hardwick, and 3rd place – Kayley Willoughby. Overall prizes were awarded to the top three overall male and female winners. Medals were awarded for each age division.

As part of the McLeod Health 110 year celebration, this event offered a great course, with a large turnout. The McLeod Dillon Fitness Challenge was the third and final in the McLeod race series following the McLeod Sports Medicine Challenge on March 19 at Briggs Elementary School, Florence, SC, and the McLeod Loris Fitness Challenge on April 23 at the Center for Health & Fitness, Loris, SC. All runners who participated in all 3 5K races received finisher medals that when placed together forms the state of South Carolina.

All monies raised from the McLeod Dillon Fitness Challenge will benefit the McLeod Sports Medicine Geoffrey Kier Memorial Scholarship Fund. The McLeod Dillon Fitness Challenge is part of the many activities taking place during the Dillon Celebrate Main Street Festival. The race technical direction is managed by Simply Timing.
