Marcus Lattimore Presents "Overcoming Adversity" To Benefit McLeod Children’s Hospital

McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 7 APRIL 2015

McLeod Children’s Hospital welcomes Marcus Lattimore, former USC Gamecock and San Francisco 49ers Running Back, to the Florence Civic Center on May 7 to share his inspiring story on overcoming adversity.

Lattimore, a decorated running back for the University of South Carolina and a fourth-round draft pick of the San Francisco 49ers, showed great strength and determination after suffering multiple knee injuries during his college career. Today, Lattimore focuses on teaching young athletes the importance of character both on and off the field.

The event will feature a unique tailgate experience with Lattimore starting at 5:30 p.m. which includes picture and autograph opportunities. Fans can also enjoy fun family activities, food, music, and local mascots, including Cocky the Gamecock.

At 7 p.m., the "Overcoming Adversity" presentation will begin with a special appearance by Adam Ploeg, a McLeod Sports Medicine Certified Athletic Trainer, who will speak about sports injury prevention and concussion management.

Two ticket options are available, one for the tailgate and presentation package ($21), another for the presentation only ($15). There are a limited number of tickets for the tailgate option. Reserve yours now at the Box Office, Ticketmaster.com, FlorenceCivicCenter.com, or by calling 1-800-745-3000.
