Loris Seacoast Healthcare Foundation Ball Raises More Than $92,000

(8/17/12) – The 4th Annual Loris Seacoast Healthcare Foundation Ball raised more than $92,000 this year. The event was held August 11 at the Hilton Myrtle Beach Resort.  Nearly 350 guests enjoyed “A Night in Paris” as they gathered to raise funds to benefit the residents of Loris Extended Care Center.

“The 4th Annual Loris Seacoast Healthcare Foundation Ball was a huge success. As always, we appreciate the support of our sponsors and the communities we serve,” said Kelly Graham, Executive Director of the Loris Seacoast Healthcare Foundation. “This year, we are particularly grateful that we were able to raise funds for the Loris Extended Care Center. The proceeds from this event will be used to buy new furniture and equipment for the residents.”

Dick Tinsley, President of McLeod Loris Seacoast, extended his gratitude to the attendees for continually supporting the Foundation’s efforts to assist McLeod Loris Seacoast in providing quality health care services. After Tinsley’s remarks, a new video highlighting the services of McLeod Loris and McLeod Seacoast was presented.

This year’s Foundation Ball Committee was led by Co-Chairs Rima Hulen and Jeri McDowell. Committee members included Diane Bast, Celeste Bondurant-Bell, Jenna Cox, Anne Elliott, Leslie Elliott, Lynda Hardee, Jane Harvey, Marilyn Hatley, Kendall Khoury, Michelle Love, Charlene Lynam, Carol Pennings, Susan Platt, Carla Shaw, Heather Smith, Hazel Teal, Joyce Thomas, Callie Wise and Donna Worley.

With the generous support of community businesses through sponsorships, silent auction items, and ticket sales, the Foundation Ball raised more than $92,000 for the Loris Seacoast Healthcare Foundation.

Guests enjoyed a large silent auction during a cocktail reception before beginning their "Night in Paris" in the grand ballroom with an elegant dinner and entertainment provided by the North Tower Band. During dinner, guests also enjoyed an artistic dance presentation by the Litchfield Dance Arts Academy.
