Eagle 92.9 and 103X Radiothon Raises More Than $52,000 for McLeod Children’s Hospital

McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 3 FEBRUARY 2012

(2/03/12) – The 10th Annual Radiothon raised more than $52,000 for the McLeod Children’s Hospital over the past two days.

Eagle 92.9 and 103X broadcasted live from the McLeod Children’s Hospital Child Life Activity Center for the Annual Radiothon on Thursday, February 9, and Friday February 10. The live Radiothon aired on Qantum Communications stations WEGX Eagle 92.9 and WJMX 103.3.

All the money raised during the McLeod Children’s Hospital Radiothon helps support specialized care, medical equipment, and programs needed in the treatment of critically ill and injured children at McLeod Children’s Hospital.

During the broadcasts, listeners heard stories of local families whose children have benefited from the care at McLeod Children’s Hospital. Listeners were invited to make a pledge, call in, or visit the hospital to share their stories.

One of the largest fundraisers, the Radiothon helps ensure the McLeod Children’s Hospital can provide the very best care for children and families across our region.

On behalf of McLeod Health, thank you to the Qantum Communcations’ DJ’s, Radiothon sponsors and donors, Children’s Hospital physicians and staff, our youngest patients and their families, phone bank volunteers and the Foundation staff for another successful year!
