(2/01/13) – Eagle 92.9 and 103X will host two events leading up to the 11th Annual McLeod Children’s Hospital Radiothon. 

On Saturday, February 2, DJs Mudflap and Wil will be at Fire It Up from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Everyone is encouraged to attend and make donations to the McLeod Children’s Hospital, the local Children’s Miracle Network Hospital, while sampling different foods cooked on the Big Green Egg. For every Big Green Egg sold that day, Fire It Up will donate $100 to the McLeod Children’s Hospital as well as provide free assembly and delivery. 

On Tuesday, February 5, come and meet your favorite DJ at Stefano’s from 4 p.m. until 9 p.m. Two dollars of every plate of spaghetti, lasagna, or fettuccini (full portion) will be donated to the McLeod Children’s Hospital. Whether you dine in or take out, you will be making a difference in the life of a child. 

Eagle 92.9 and 103X will broadcast the Radiothon live from the McLeod Children’s Hospital Child Life Activity Center on Thursday, February 7, and Friday, February 8, from 6:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. The live Radiothon will air on Qantum Communication Stations WEGX Eagle 92.9 and WJMX 103.3. 

All the money raised during the McLeod Children’s Hospital Radiothon will help support specialized care, medical equipment, and programs needed in the treatment of critically ill and injured children at McLeod Children’s Hospital. 

During the broadcast, listeners will hear the stories of local families whose children have benefited from the care at McLeod Children’s Hospital. Listeners are invited to call in to make a pledge or share their stories. 

Tune in to the miracles on February 7 and 8 and be a champion for children by listening to Eagle 92.9 and 103X and calling in your pledge to support the care of infants and children in the Pee Dee and Grand Strand regions of North and South Carolina at McLeod Children’s Hospital.
