Dr. Jeremy Robertson Appointed Chief Medical Officer for McLeod Regional Medical Center

McLeod Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Jeremy R. Robertson, MD to the McLeod Regional Medical Center leadership team as Vice President for Medical Services and Chief Medical Officer.

Board Certified in Emergency Medicine, Dr. Robertson earned his medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine, Birmingham, Alabama. He completed his residency training in Emergency Medicine at East Carolina University School of Medicine/ Pitt County Memorial Hospital of Greenville, North Carolina. Dr. Robertson joined the McLeod medical staff in 2009 and has served patients of the McLeod Regional Medical Center as an emergency physician for the past ten years. In 2012, he was appointed Medical Director of Emergency Services. Most recently, Dr. Robertson received his master’s degree in healthcare administration from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill in 2017. Dr. Robertson and his wife, Veronica, reside in Florence and have two daughters.

As Vice President for Medical Services and Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Robertson is responsible for enhancing relationships and communications with the medical staff and providing assistance to area physicians. He assures that appropriate physician education, peer review and quality assurance systems are in place to fulfill the goals of McLeod Health. He also assists in patient care, facilitates admissions, and works to improve the quality of safety, science and service at McLeod Regional Medical Center.
