Country Music Artist Kathy Mattea Headlines An Evening of Hope

Country Music Artist Kathy Mattea will headline the 2014 An Evening of Hope to benefit the McLeod Center for Cancer Treatment and Research. The McLeod Health 15th Annual Cancer Benefit will be held on Thursday, September 25, 2014, at the Florence Little Theatre. Proceeds from the evening will benefit the programs and services offered by the McLeod Cancer Center.

Mattea has been honored with multiple Grammy’s, Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music awards, including Female Vocalist of the Year. She will perform "Walking with my Dad," a collection of songs and stories from her family’s journey with cancer, during the event.

In addition to Mattea, a variety of talented performers will pay tribute to loved ones touched by cancer. These local musicians include Singer Nick Townsend accompanied by Robin Thompson on piano; Singer Amesha Johnson; the Borrowed Time Band and Singer Johnny Tanner; Singer and Dancer Abby Greenwood; and Singer Roger Kirby accompanied by Ann Rodgers Chandler on piano and Starr Wood on violin.
