McLeod Hospice will celebrate the 7th Annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, "A Light for Someone You Love, on Tuesday, December 7, at 5:45 p.m. at McLeod Medical Center Darlington. The family of Christi Moore will light the trees.

A musical presentation will be provided by the Mayo High School Chorus. Rev. Frankie Tanner of Mechanicsville Baptist Church will offer the invocation and Pastor Norm Mitchell with the First Church of God will provide the closing prayer.

"The Light for Someone You Love" program is sponsored by the McLeod Health Foundation to directly fund items needed for the McLeod Hospice House, to help patients remain comfortable in their homes, bereavement care for families being served as well as others in the community, and the children’s grief support program.

McLeod Hospice serves patients in Florence, Darlington, Dillon, Lee and Marion counties.

While the lighted trees will brighten the community this season, the gifts they represent will help bring the light of hope to McLeod Hospice patients and their families.
