2017 Radiothon Raises $114,372.82 for McLeod Children’s Hospital

McLEOD CHILDREN'S HOSPITAL 9 FEBRUARY 2017

The 15th Annual Radiothon raised more than $114,000 for the treatment of critically ill and injured children at McLeod Children’s Hospital this year.

More than 53,000 children from the Midlands to the Coast receive care at McLeod Children’s Hospital each year. One hundred percent of the money raised during the McLeod Children’s Hospital Radiothon helps support specialized care, medical equipment, and programs needed to help care for children in the region.

iHeartRadio Stations WEGX Eagle 92.9 and WJMX 103.3 broadcasted live from the McLeod Children’s Hospital Child Life Activity Center for the Annual Radiothon on Thursday, February 9 and Friday, February 10.

During the broadcast, listeners heard stories of local families whose children have benefited from the care at McLeod Children’s Hospital. Listeners were also invited to make a pledge, call in, or visit the hospital to share their stories.

One of the largest fundraisers for the McLeod Children’s Hospital, the Radiothon helps ensure the continuum of quality care provided for children and families across the region.

Thank you to the iHeart Radio DJ’s, Radiothon sponsors and donors, Children’s Hospital physicians and staff, phone bank volunteers, our youngest patients and their families, and the Foundation staff for another successful year.
