McLeod Health welcomes Najdat Bazarbashi, MD, and Ariel Choi, MD, to the medical staff.

Dr. Bazarbashi is an Interventional Cardiologist with McLeod Cardiology Associates in Little River. He provides comprehensive cardiovascular care with a special focus on interventional cardiology and the treatment of coronary artery disease. Dr. Bazarbashi is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Disease, Echocardiography and Interventional Cardiology. Dr. Bazarbashi earned his medical degree from King Saud University College of Medicine in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. He completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore, Maryland, followed by a Cardiovascular Medicine Fellowship at Georgetown University/MedStar Washington Hospital Center. He then completed an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship at North Shore University Hospital at Northwell, Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra in New York. Dr. Choi is a Board Eligible Radiation Oncologist with the McLeod Centers for Cancer Treatment and Research in Florence. He provides advanced radiation oncology care for patients with a variety of cancers, with particular clinical interests in breast cancer, malignancies of the brain and central nervous system, and lung cancers, including both small cell and non-small cell lung cancer. Dr. Choi earned his medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. He completed his Radiation Oncology Residency at Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, where he also served as Co-Chief Resident.
