The 2026 McLeod for Health Florence Open began on Monday, July 27, at the Dr. Eddie Floyd Florence Tennis Center. In addition to qualifying rounds, several local players and McLeod staff participated in the Pro-Am that evening with Tournament Physician Dr. Rodney Alan winning the event with Pro Amaliia Elizarova.

Florence’s only professional tennis tournament, made possible by the partnership between McLeod Health and the City of Florence, helps raise awareness of breast cancer and physical activity through the tournament, and benefits women in the region with mammogram scholarships.

Not only does the professional tennis tournament raise funds to support our patients, it also draws nearly 65 of the world’s best women players to Florence all competing for ranking points and a $30,000 purse. 

The USTA Pro Circuit features competitive matches between tennis’s rising athletes. The McLeod for Health Florence Open has a great history of containing future Grand Slam Champions such as Bianca Andreescu, Sofia Kenin and Naomi Osaka. 

Wrapping up the tournament is the doubles final on Saturday, August 1, and the singles final match and trophy presentation on Sunday, August 2. Both matches are scheduled to start at 9 a.m. All matches are free and open to the public.
