McLeod Health welcomes Mark Vadney, DO, and Hannah Woriax, MD, to the medical staff.
Dr. Vadney, a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, has joined the McLeod Regional Medical Center medical staff. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed his anesthesiology residency at SUNY Upstate Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident. Dr. Vadney brings nearly 20 years of clinical and leadership experience, including service as Chief of Anesthesiology at Oswego Health, Canton-Potsdam Hospital, and the University of Rochester/FF Thompson Hospital where he also served as Associate Professor and Chief of Anesthesiology. He has extensive expertise in regional, obstetric, and surgical anesthesia, and has led multiple initiatives to enhance patient care, develop regional anesthesia programs, implement new clinical protocols, and improve perioperative processes.
Dr. Woriax provides breast health care at the McLeod Center for Cancer Treatment and Research on the McLeod Health Seacoast campus. Board Certified in General Surgery, she joins McLeod Health from Duke University’s Department of Surgery, where she specialized in Breast Surgical Oncology and served as an Assistant Professor. A native of Pembroke, North Carolina, Dr. Woriax was inspired to pursue medicine by her grandfather, a family physician whose compassion and dedication deeply influenced her career path. She earned her Medical Degree from the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, North Carolina. She completed her General Surgery Residency at Virginia Tech Carilion Clinic in Roanoke, Virginia, and a Breast Surgical Oncology Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
