McLeod Health Seacoast Nurse Receives DAISY Award

McLEOD HEALTH SEACOAST 30 OCTOBER 2025

Erin Cilino, RN, a registered nurse with McLeod Health Seacoast, has been presented a DAISY Award for outstanding service and care. A nurse on the 2nd Floor Surgical Unit, Erin received two different nominations for her professionalism and caring heart.

“Erin is a wonderful nurse. She was friendly, kind, caring and extremely professional, as well as confident and knowledgeable,” shared one of her patients.

“An outstanding nurse that truly listened to everything I had to say. There are so many good things to share about Erin,” said another patient.

DAISY award winners at McLeod Health are nominated by patients, family members and co-workers. The award is part of the DAISY Foundation’s program to recognize the super-human efforts nurses perform every day.

Recipients of the DAISY Award are chosen by the DAISY committee, led by nurses at McLeod Health Seacoast. The committee gives awards throughout the year at presentations in front of the nurse’s colleagues, physicians, patients, and visitors. Each honoree receives a certificate commending her or him for being an “Extraordinary Nurse.” The certificate reads: “In deep appreciation of all you do, who you are, and the incredibly meaningful difference you make in the lives of so many people.” The honoree is also given a beautiful and meaningful sculpture called “A Healer’s Touch,” hand-carved by artists of the Shona Tribe in Africa.
