Current and former nurses at McLeod Health Clarendon reunite for a group picture in the newly expanded Intensive Care Unit during the 70/5 Anniversary Celebration on June 17.
Celebrating 70 Years in the heart of the community and 5 Years in the trusted hands of McLeod, McLeod Health Clarendon hosted an anniversary celebration on Thursday, June 17.
During the event, remarks were made by McLeod Health leaders and Kimberly O. Johnson S.C. House of Representative and Vice Chair of the McLeod Health Clarendon Advisory Board.
Following the remarks, attendees had the opportunity to tour the hospital and learn more about the hospital’s quality programs and services, achievements, and history, including:

32 Slice CT Scanner located in the Radiology Department CT scanners provide essential diagnostic images of structures inside a person’s body. A new CT scanner provide faster scans that produce high-quality images, allowing medical staff to quickly determine health status and course of treatment while giving patients access to up-to-date health-care technology close to home.

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) located on the third floor. The ICU expansion includes increased square footage to allow for more spacious patient rooms and a designated exam room. There will also be a private family consult room for providers to meet with family members as well as a family waiting room.
ICU patient volumes have rapidly grown over the past few years. Not only does this expansion and renovation underscore the continued investment and commitment to bring quality healthcare to Clarendon and all communities from the midlands to the coast, but it also allows patients and their families to heal and recover close to home.
