  • WYNNE ENGLISH, CCC-SLP

    Pediatric Rehabilitation Supervisor

    Wynne received her M.S. in Speech Pathology from Bloomsburg State University in Pennsylvania. She was the first staff Speech Pathologist to be hired at McLeod in 1983. She served as Speech Pathology Supervisor from 1983-2015 and was promoted to Pediatric Rehab Supervisor in October of 2015. She is a certified provider of Fast ForWord and Reading Assistant products as well as Interactive Metronome, with her clinical hours focused on the development of literacy in the Pee Dee region. She also has extensive experience in adult acute and outpatient care.

  • JESSICA ALTMAN, PT, DPT

    Pediatric Rehabilitation

    Jessica is a 2015 graduate from the Medical University of South Carolina with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. Her clinical background includes outpatient pediatrics, aquatic therapy, and acute care. Jessica’s special interests include aquatics, gait training, and treatment of neurological conditions. Jessica has been a member of the McLeod Rehab team since 2015.

  • DOREN CRAIG, OTR/L

    Pediatric Rehabilitation

    Doren graduated from the University of Saint Augustine in Florida in 2014 with her Masters in Occupational Therapy. She has been with Mcleod Pediatric Rehab since 2015. Her professional clinical background is in inpatient rehab, outpatient orthopedics, and pediatrics. Her special interests include treatment of developmental and neurological conditions.

  • Katie Ford, OTR/L

    Pediatric Rehabilitation

    Katie graduated from the University of Wisconsin in 2014 with her Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy. She has been with McLeod since 2015 where she initially worked in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Inpatient Rehabilitation and has since transitioned to McLeod Pediatric Rehabilitation. Her professional clinical background is in Inpatient Rehab, Outpatient Rehab for both adult and pediatric populations, and the NICU. Her special interests include sensory processing concerns, developmental conditions, feeding, and burns.

  • Megan Jones, PT, DPT

    Physical Therapist

    Megan is a 2015 graduate of the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. Her clinical background includes pediatric, aquatic, and acute care therapies. Professional interests include treatment of traumatic brain injuries, cerebral palsy, ataxia, developmental delay, and a variety of neurologic, genetic, and orthopedic conditions.

  • Delori Knight, MA, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologist

    Delori is a 1998 graduate of South Carolina State University. Delori provided therapy primarily in the public schools before joining the McLeod Pediatric team in 2015. Her certifications include National Board Certification in Literacy for Children and Orton-Gillingham for dyslexia. Delori is also a certified provider of Interactive Metronome and Reading Assistant. She enjoys helping clients with reading difficulties, who struggle despite traditional teaching methods to become successful readers. Her special interests include developing phonemic awareness and increasing reading fluency.

  • Mary (Marcie) Springs, MSP, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologist

    Marcie is a Speech Language Pathologist at McLeod Outpatient Pediatric Rehabilitation. She is originally from Florence and graduated from Francis Marion University in 2013 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. Marcie then went on to study Communication Disorders at the University of South Carolina where she graduated with a Master of Speech Pathology degree. Marcie is a new member of the McLeod Rehabilitation Services team, having started in September 2016.

  • Julie Ulmer Whatley, MSP, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologist

    Julie graduated from The University of South Carolina with a BS in Exercise Science in 1999 and a Master of Speech Pathology in 2002. After completing her education, she returned to her hometown of Florence, SC where she has been a Speech-Language Pathologist at McLeod Regional Medical Center for 14 years. She has experience in outpatient and acute settings, treating both children and adults. Her specialty is in pediatrics with interests in speech, language, and dysphagia treatment. She is a member of the Pediatric Feeding Team, and certified provider of Beckman Oral Motor Therapy and PECS (Picture Exchange Communication System).

  • Haley Wightman, MCD, CCC-SLP

    Speech Language Pathologist

    Haley is a 1999 graduate of Winthrop University and a 2001 graduate of Arkansas State University with a Master’s in Communication Disorders. Haley’s special interests include cochlear implants, augmentative communication, and apraxia. She is a certified Interactive Metronome trainer, is certified in Beckman Oral Motor Approach, and has spent 40 hours of training at MUSC for treatment of deaf and hearing impaired patients. Haley currently serves on the SC Alexander Graham Bell Board as an advocate for children and adults with hearing loss. She has been a member of the McLeod Rehabilitation Services team for over 10 years.
