McLeod Health Staff Participate
in the Pee Dee Heart Walk

McLEOD REGIONAL MEDICAL CENTER 7 OCTOBER 2019

Faye Street and Tim Smoak with his dog, Maggie, participated in the Pee Dee Heart Walk representing McLeod Health Darlington.

Faye Street, Director of Cardiopulmonary and Radiology, and Tim Smoak, Associate Vice President of Patient Services, for McLeod Health Darlington were among the 1,200 walkers who came out October 5 for the 26th Annual Pee Dee Heart Walk.

McLeod Vascular Surgeon Dr. William Jackson welcomed everyone on behalf of McLeod Health to thank them for their support in the fight against heart disease and stroke. With stroke being the third leading cause of death in South Carolina, the McLeod Stroke Team also provided blood pressure checks and a stroke educational quiz to help raise awareness.

The Pee Dee Heart Walk is an American Heart Association signature event that blends the benefits of physical activity, community involvement and personal giving to fight the devastation of cardiovascular disease and stroke.
